Tools and materials

Please check out the information listed on the specific web page for your workshop to see if there is anything that you
need to bring along with you on the day.

If you are making a garment as part of your workshop, we highly recommend that
you purchase this ahead of time so that you can pre-wash it to account for any normal shrinkage that can happen.

Please order over the phone and have your fabrics delivered or coming into the shop to purchase if you are able so that you can take advantage of any discount that is offered as part
of the workshop.

Our studio is fully equipped with sewing machines, irons, sewing tools and equipment but please feel free
to bring your own tools if you prefer.

Lunch and refreshments

Tea/coffee and biscuits are provided during our workshops.
If you are attending a full day workshop, there are several cafes and shops within close walking distance to get lunch, or
you can bring a packed lunch and are welcome to eat it in the studio.

Transport

The #50 West Midlands bus runs between Birmingham Moor Street Station and Druids Heath every 5 minutes during
weekdays and every 10-15 minutes evenings and weekends with a bus stop less than 100m away.

The #1 West Midlands bus runs between Birmingham Town Hall and Acocks Green, passing through Moseley Village,
runs every 10-15 minutes during the day and 20-30 minutes at evenings and weekends.

The nearest train stations are University (1.9 miles), Bournville (2 miles) and Hall Green (2.1 miles).

Parking

There is a pay and display car park situated across the road and down the street a little towards the
Village Green. Look out for a takeaway called 'Kingfisher' that has a blue sign and the car park is just to the right of that if
you are facing it. There is also a pay and display car park at the Village Pub which is about 30m up the road from the shop
(heading away from the centre of Moseley).

Parking is available on the main road that the shop is on. Normally weekdays between 10am and 4.30pm you can park for
an hour for free. At the weekends there are no parking restrictions, so you can park on the main road
all day. As it is a bus lane, please double check the signs yourself as we cannot accept any responsibility for parking tickets received based on this advice.
