Making purchases
We aim to offer our customers a diverse range of products that they will love with all relevant information about products provided up front for customers to make an informed choice. If there is anything that customers want clarification on then they can make email an enquiry to [email protected].
While we strive to ensure high quality images of all our products, it can be difficult to get colours to accurately represent how they will appear in real life. Therefore it is not recommended to use the images on the website to colour match. Customers are asked to contact us for help and advice when trying to colour match products.
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling - GBP.
When you select products you wish to purchase they will be added to your shopping cart. If you wish to delete any items or edit quantities this can be carried out at the checkout stage. We use Stripe payment gateway to process our online payments which is a fully secure service, we are PCI compliant and have regular security scans performed by Security Metrics.
If you would prefer to make your purchase over the phone, please call the shop during opening times and we can process it for you. Please note that we can't transfer items already added to a shopping cart online into a phone order. You will have to specify the items you would like to purchase and we will process it as a new order for you.
Acceptance of your order
Please note that completion of the online checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your offer to purchase products or services from us. Our acceptance of your order will take place only when we despatch the product(s) or commencement of the services that you ordered from us, no contract will have formed between us the supplier and you the customer, up until that point.
We will notify you by email as soon as possible to acknowledge that we have received and are processing your order.
We aim to be able to supply all goods ordered at the prices stated. If we are unable to fulfill this and cannot supply you with the product or service you ordered, we will not process your order, inform you of this in writing (via email) and, if you have already paid for the product or service, refund you in full as soon as reasonably possible.
Request to hold an order
We have limited space and capacity to hold customer orders. You can request for your order to be held for up to a maximum of 10 working days or 2 weeks from the point of ordering.
Unfortunately we are not able to hold customer orders for longer than this period and the order must be dispatched after this window of time. If you need to change the shipping address for the order, please let us know by emailing [email protected].
Purchasing fabric
All fabric is measured and cut using the metric system and is sold by the 10cm. The smallest cut that we offer is 10cm.
Pre-washing fabric
Pre-washing fabric is really a personal choice but we do recommend pre-washing on a warm, short and gentle cycle with a mild detergent especially if the fabric is a bright or dark colour or if there is any linen content in your fabric. If you are combining several different types of fabric in the same project then it is defiantly worth prewashing.
Felt and fabrics with any wool content should be washed as per manufacturers instructions. If there are no manufacturers instructions stated (this is common with dead stock fabrics that are surplus to the garment making industry) we recommend testing a fabric before pre-washing and for woollen fabrics to dry clean only.
Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any fabric shrinkage. Please take into consideration the possibility that fabrics can shrink when measuring up for projects.
Buying scissors
Please note that you must be 18 years of age or older to purchase rotary cutters or scissors. By accepting our terms and conditions when you purchase our scissors or rotary cutters you are confirming that you are of the legal age to purchase these products.
Promotional Codes and Offers
From time to time we have special offers shared via our newsletter and our social media channels. The codes apply to full priced stock only and are valid for the time stated in the promotion.They are not valid in conjunction with any other offers and can not be used to purchase gift vouchers or workshops unless otherwise specified.When using the vouchers online, please note that promotion codes and gift vouchers cannot be used together. If you have a gift voucher, this must be redeemed via a telephone order.
