Information on our Stock Notification Service

Get automatic email updates on back in stock availability of sold out fabrics and products

We know it can be frustrating when you find the fabric or haberdashery notion you have been searching for is out of stock.

Here at g&g stock levels can vary pretty quickly depending on demand and we always aim for our customers to get what they are looking for as quickly as possible.

That's why we have invested in and introduced a NEW (as of September 2022) back in stock system to keep you updated on the availability of the products and fabric you love that are currently sold out.

Do I need an account to get email notification updates?

Yes, you will need to sign up for a free account on the website to receive updates on stock availability. You can sign up for an account by following this link.

Having an account with us will give you access to your order history, the ability to manage your addresses, access any files or videos you have purchased from the website and it will also allow you to manage or cancel any stock notification requests.

How does the back in stock notification system work?

If you are signed in on the website, when you click on a fabric or product that is sold out, the listing page will give you the option to enter the amount in meters of fabric you are interested in or the quantity of a product you are interested in. Simply fill in the box and click 'Notify Me'.

Your request will then be logged in our system and you can view, update and cancel any notification requests you have in the account area of the website when you are logged in.

Can I request a stock notification for a Sewing Society Kit?

Unfortunately not, you cannot request a stock notification for a sold out g&g Sewing Society Kit. We make a specific number of kits each month and don't restock them. Sometimes we have fabric or components left over that we can sell as separate items. Please email [email protected] to be notified when they are available.

Is signing up for a stock notification email an obligation to buy?

No, signing up for a stock notification update does not mean that you have committed to buy that product. We will simply let you know when it is available again and you can then choose whether you still want to purchase it or not.

How long will it take to receive a stock notification email?

This can vary a lot depending on the fabric or product you have requested to hear about. Typically fabrics can take 2-3 weeks to arrive from the point of ordering, but you may request a notification and we could receive more stock of it the next day if some was already on order.

If you need the fabric by a specific time, please email us on [email protected] and we can give you a more specific estimate of when it is likely to be available again.

What if I change my mind and need more or a certain fabric or decide I don't need it anymore?

You can manage all of your stock notification requests in the account area of the website when you are logged in. There is an option to adjust the quantity as well as cancel the request altogether.

Can I pay for a fabric or product when it is out of stock?

Unfortunately we cannot process and complete an order or payment for stock that we don't already physically have within the shop. Once your receive your stock notification email update, it's best to order it as soon as you can in case it sells out again.

What is the fabric or product I have requested for is no longer available?

Unfortunately, sometimes we are unable to source or secure more stock of certain fabrics or products. In this instance, we will email to let you know that it is no longer available again and remove the notification request from your account.
