Sabel Cardi Kit

For this kit we've chosen two colours of this amazing knit: Blue Mountain zigzag and Pink Etna zigzag

This thick, squishy knit fabric is a wool blend and has a colourful zigzag pattern knitted into the fabric. It has two distinct sides which could both be used as the outer. In the samples we've used the more uniform, smoother side - the reverse has a more defined knit appearance.

The wool content in the fabric means it is cosy and warm, whilst its knitted construction provides it with a good amount of stretch. The fabric is 30% wool & 70% polyester.

For the neckband we have also included a smooth navy sweatshirting fabric, which is 70% cotton, 30% polyester. This can also be used to create optional cuffs.

This pattern is available in three size brackets: 4-16, 10-22, 18-30.

The measurements below are taken from the body measurement chart:

4-16 (bust 30.3-42.1", waist 23.5-35.5", hips 32.6-44.5")

10-22 (bust 36.2-48.8", waist 29.5-42", hips 38.6-51.2")

18-30 (bust 44.1-58.25", waist 37.5-50.5", hips 46.5-61")

Approx. finished garment measurements:

4-16 (bust 43-55", hem 39-51")

10-22 (bust 49-61", hem 45-58")

18-30 (bust 57-71", hem 53-67")

We think it's worth noting that this pattern has a lot of positive ease - that means it's designed to be fitted loose on the body. If you prefer a closer fit then you might consider sizing down by 1-2 sizes. In the modelled images the samples have been sewn to Lauren's measurements.

• A0 print out of the Style Arc Sabel Cardi. Please choose between size ranges 4-16, 10-22 or 18-30 for your pattern print out above.
• Main fabric: as described above. Select from option above: 'Up to size 16' contains 1.6m of fabric and 'Up to size 30' contains 2.8m of fabric.
• Neckband fabric: as described above. 'Up to size 16' contains 0.3m of fabric and 'Up to size 30' contains 0.35m of fabric.
• 1 reel of Gutermann sew-all thread, shade 339 (navy)
• Interfacing: Black iron on stretch interfacing, 10cm strip.
• Buttons: 20mm bio-resin buttons from Pigeon Wishes. Blue buttons (pink kits) or green buttons (blue kits)
• Sewing Machine Needles: Prym Mixed Jersey Needles
• 'Me Made' Sew in woven label
  

A physical print out of the instruction booklet will NOT be included. You can view the instruction booklet on your device, print it out at home, or add the 'printed pattern instructions' product (see link below) to your order and we will print it for you.

To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.

An overlocker can be used to finish your seams but Lauren also shows you how to do this with your sewing machine.
