City Bag Kit

This kit is available in four colours: navy, cobalt, ochre and green.

For the outer fabric we've chosen these lovely canvas fabrics from Sevenberry. These heavier weight fabrics are ideal for bag making as they're light enough to sew with yet durable enough to handle a lot of wear and tear. They are 100% cotton and weigh 325 gsm.

For the lining we've sourced cotton poplin with a cute micro dot design. The navy and cobalt kits contain navy lining fabric and the ochre and green kits contain fawn lining. The poplins are 100% cotton.

• A0 print out of the City Bag Set. The duffle bag, wallet and additional bumbag are all included on the A0 print out. Please note to bumbag is not covered in the video.
• Main fabric: as described above. All kits contain 0.9m, which is enough to make the duffle bag and card wallet.
• Lining fabric: as described above. All kits contain 0.7m
• Interfacing: 0.8m mid weight woven cotton iron-on interfacing.
• Webbing: 3m geometric webbing to match fabric and 2m plain cream webbing
• Piping cord: 2m x 3mm wide piping cord
• Swivel hooks: Antique brass. 2 x 38mm and 1 x 10mm
• D-rings: Antique brass. 2 x 38mm and 1 x 15mm
• Slider: Antique brass. 1 x 38mm
• Exterior zip: 1 x 51cm antique brass zip with cream tape
• Interior zip: 1 x 20cm zip in navy (navy and cobalt kits) or fawn (green and ochre kits)
• Thread: 1 reel of Gutermann thread to match fabric, shades 310 (navy), 315 (cobalt), 412 (ochre) or 561 (green)
• Sewing Machine Needles: mixed universal needle pack
• Label: 'Me Made' in woven label

A physical print out of the instruction booklet will NOT be included. You can view the instruction booklet on your device at home, print it out at home, or add the 'printed pattern instructions' product (see link below) to your order and we will print it for you.

She shares her hints and tips on getting a really lovely finish on your bag including how to sew the inner and outer zips, how to work with thick fabric, how to add an internal strap for the card wallet, how to adjust the strap length, how to make and add piping, how to adjust the width of the bag and much more!

This video has over 38 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.

To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools. Fabric clips can be also useful for holding together bulkier seams.

Your kit will be wrapped in tissue and beautifully presented in recyclable packaging.
