Bedrock Tee Kit

The only t-shirt pattern you’ll ever need? It might well be! This kit contains everything you need to make the Bedrock Tee by Sew Liberated.

The Bedrock Tee is a true foundation piece and a great garment for building up your handmade wardrobe. Wear it tucked into a skirt, layered under a strappy dress, paired with a light shirt or on it's own with some summery trousers. T-shirts are often one of our most-worn garments because they go with so many things!

The Bedrock has two different fits each with three sleeve lengths and these kits include enough fabric to make any view with an elbow length sleeve or shorter. View A is a semi-fitted tee with a two sleeve options as well as a sleeveless tank, while view B has a looser fit with a dropped shoulder and a hemline that gently curves from front to back.

This kit is a quick and easy sew for an experienced jersey sewer, but also makes a great introduction to sewing stretchy fabrics for anyone new to knits.

The instructions have plenty of great knit tips and Lauren's accompanying video also includes lots of in-depth advice and demonstrations on working with these wonderful fabrics. Learn everything from how knits are made to what stretch percentage and recovery mean, which stitches to use when sewing and how to hem these comfy fabrics.

And for those who've been sewing stretchy fabrics for a while and want to try something new, we've included specialist Stretchfix which will make hemming a breeze! Plus Lauren demonstrates in her video how to add a neck and shoulder binding to your top for a clean and processional finish.

The fabric for this kit is available in five colours: mint, pink, mauve, blue and ecru.

The fabric we’ve chosen is a cotton and linen blend knit, which has the stability of a cotton jersey and a slubby linen texture. The elastane content in the fabric means it has good stretch and recovery, so won’t bag out during wear. The blend of natural fibres means that this fabric is breathable and lovely to wear all year round.

This fabric is 70% cotton, 25% linen & 5% elastane.

To see the fabrics close up check out the video in the main gallery above by swiping left.

The size range for this pattern is: US 0-34 (C Cup). Bust 31 - 58.5”, waist 25 - 52.5” & hips 33.5 - 61”.
