The summer sun has been streaming in through the big bay window of our shop this week onto the fun and fresh new window display. This gorgeous display, designed and put together by Jo, is themed around mint choc chip ice cream. With natural feels and summer sewing vibes, it features a lovely selection of garments with lots of special touches that bring it all together perfectly.

This lovely outfit features the Megan Neislen Olive Top made with a cotton linen mix fabric with a summery stripe design. We have now sold out of that fabric I'm afraid but the Metallic Stripe Chambray is a nice alternative or any of our cotton lawns would also work really nicely with this design.
We've paired it with the popular True Bias Emerson trousers using some of our textured and natural ramie fabric. This design has neat pleats at the front with pockets an a gathered waist band at the back for effortless comfort and style.
The Wanderer Tank top has a lovely tie back detail with eyelets and a cord made of self fabric - so cute and summery! We used our Khaki Sorona linen to make this and paired it with the Made By Rae Luna Pants. This super simple design is a great first trouser project! It has a relaxed fit with an elastic waist band and tie.
The newly released Skye dress from Tilly and the Buttons looks very ethereal stitched up in the wide stripe ecru viscose linen fabric. The fun ties at the shoulder seams as optional tie ons to the bias bound straps, designs to cover your bra. It has a loose and breezy style, perfect for keeping cool this summer.
Set around our well dressed mannequins is a cute ice cream garland, a fun fan bunting and a 'summer sewing vibes' banner (better seen from the front of the shop!). The deckchair looks 'oh sew lovely' and the addition of the palm plants was the perfect finishing touch! We are hoping they love their new hot sunny position in the window and sprout some more stems!
We try out the fabrics and patterns ourselves so we can give you the best advice.
