Here at g&g we take pride in everything we do. From choosing the best selection of fabrics, patterns and notions we can, to make this most of the beautiful bay window in the store with inspiring seasonal window displays. As many of our wonderful customers aren't able to visit us in person, we always want to make sure you don't miss out on seeing our displays and dressmaking inspiration that lies within them.
Jo designs and imagines such beautiful displays and along with the rest of them team who help to make fun props and accessories our big window, that floods with light, always showcases the amazing fabrics, patterns and kits we can offer in-store.
Starting the year and we mean to go on, with everyday handmade clothes that make you feel great and proud that you have made them yourself! We loved designing and putting these garments together, the aim was to be able to easily pair them together, mix and match and wear with ease.
The details included fun oversized haberdashery notions that are now a g&g window staple, how could we not!?

Spring is always the best time of year because we get to introduce bright spring colours back in to the store. Jo did another amazing job of bringing together an inspiring range of handmade outfits, framed with fun props and accessories to fill the big bay window in the shop.
The details featured our ever changing selection of bolt ends and remnants surrounded by bright birds and tissue paper flowers, all showcased alongside spring wears with long sleeves and light layers from beautiful soft jerseys, bright twills and luxurious linen.

This was a super special one - we made a big fuss on our 10th birthday and why not?! The garments in our stunning birthday window were made with our very own Bee Happy Blooms Viscose fabric and our Chicacheetah Organic Cotton French Terry Fabric.
The details in our birthday window was surrounded by colourful dried flowers, that have now made their home in our studio. All painstakingly hung to perfection by Jo, they framed the garments perfectly. We also had the icons from the Bee Happy Blooms print around the garments!

This was such a fun and playful display. We featured the adult and child versions from the Ikatee sewing pattern range, along with a really lovely and simple quick make raglan t-shirt that proved to be really popular!
The details really brought back some whimsical childhood memories of flying kites. We had soft pastel shades and fun fabric kites with adorable bow strings. Too cute!

The garments in our Autumn window were super cosy from the patterns to the fabrics! The toaster sweater was paired with chunky corduroy cropped trousers, and an adorable teddy fleece sweater. All warm tones of the deep oranges and browns that we love about Autumn. You may have noticed we LOVE the Toaster Sweater here at g&g so we jumped at the chance to include two versions of that a warm turtleneck and stylish scoop neck.
The details were a fun garland of sweater, trousers and scissors. Our cute fabric pumpkins were back out again , the old Singer machines and our old favourite the oversized haberdashery items - they tied in with the colour palette perfectly!

Christmas outfits are all about style sprinkled with a little comfort, we all want to look our best with the added comfort to fit in all the Christmas indulgence! That is what the garments were in the last window display of 2023, from relax fit day wear to cosy bright gingham pjs.
We just loved the red and white details of this super festive window, speckled with hanging spotty paper pin wheels and the themed Christmas decorations, along with our over sized haberdashery props, it brought that familiar sewing and dressmaking theme in so well.
