This is a half-termly after-school sewing club for children aged between 7-15 years. There are 5-7 weekly sessions per course. Regardless of age or ability, children will sew a range of projects to further develop their sewing skills. Children will work at a pace that suits them and projects will be tailored to their own level. Projects are likely to be completed over a number of weeks. There will be a skills section of most classes to teach and progress essential sewing skills.
*Please note that for larger projects such as clothing, you may need to purchase fabric to use in the class. You will be notified in advance of this so you have time to get it.
If the class is showing as fully booked, please contact us and we can check availability. Sometimes we can experience a glitch in the website where the workshop appears as fully booked when it is not. We are fixing it as soon as possible.
All skills are dependent upon the projects students undertake.

Alison has always been crafty and over the years has tried her hand at all sorts, including jewellery making, felting and paper crafts, but over the last few years she has found her passion in sewing and crochet.
After finishing a Fine Art Printmaking degree and Masters in Gallery Studies Alison spent 18 years working as Museum Manager and Curator in a small Lichfield museum, and while this was an important part of her past, she is now enjoying the opportunity to talk dressmaking with our lovely customers.
When she's not at the shop Alison is a mum to two children who, along with her husband, benefit from her dressmaking. Her wardrobe is very eclectic and her favourite pattern is animal print, which she considers a neutral!
Vivvy started her career in advertising and branding, working in a corporate environment, and developing brand campaigns, for major blue-chip companies.
With the desire to move out of London and be back in Worcestershire, where she lives with her husband, Vivvy decided to train in garden design and Floristry, after 3 years with City and Guilds, and a business diploma in Floristry at Judith Blacklock School in Knightsbridge, London.
Vivvy hung up her suits and high heels and swapped them for jeans, a body warmer and trainers ready to open up Stow Roses and Redgrave and Lake and take early trips to the flower market. Now, working and living in Worcestershire, her passions are floristry, fabrics and dressmaking!
Vivvy began teaching 3 years ago, specialising in sewing for 8 - 18 year olds. She gained a teaching qualification with Pearson International. Vivvy loves seeing the surprise and amazement on students' faces when they have finished a piece of sewing!!! For Vivvy, it's all about inspiring and giving children a life skill forever
