Zoey Top Kit

An Autumn/Winter layering essential, this luxurious Tencel fabric will feel amazing next to your skin! This Sewing Society Kit contains everything you need to make the True Bias Zoey Tank Top.

This classic tank top pattern, with multiple neckline variations, is a must-have for layering up with pretty much any outfit!

All views have scooped back neckline, which can be raised if desired. With a handy neckline expansion pack - also included in the kit - you can choose between a soft V-neck, square neck, scoop neck and high neckline. These options give you the choice to wear the top underneath a wide variety of other necklines to either have it visible or hiding neatly underneath!

The armholes are finished with 5/8"/1.5cm bands that extend into practical and comfortable over the shoulder straps.

This kit includes enough fabric to make either the View A or B tank top versions. View A has a cropped length that hits around the natural waistline and View B ends around the hipline. Also included in the pattern is a fit and flare dress with a centre front and back seam for extra shaping.

The star of this make is most definitely the soft, stretchy and drapey Tencel ribbed jersey fabric from the designer Meet Milk Collection! This fabric feels so amazing next to the skin, giving the top a comforting feeling when layering up on a cold day.

Learn new skills and techniques with this kit as we introduce you to the Gutermann Maraflex thread and Stretch fix! These notions will transform they way that you sew with jersey and provide you with skills that you can apply to many more projects!

We have three classic, neutral colours to choose from: Black, Navy and Shell (Ivory/ off-white colour).

This beautiful 'Derby Ribbed Jersey' fabric from the designer Meet Milk collection is a 4 x 4 rib with a soft drape and a semi matte texture.

It has high elasticity with optimal stretch recovery.

Made from 95% TENCEL™ modal and 5% elastane it has a weight of 230gsm. It has also been certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (product class 2).

This pattern comes in two size bands. The PDF files are split across the following size brackets.

Alongside the purchase of this kit you will receive access to Lauren's exclusive YouTube video to be used alongside the pattern instructions.

She shares her hints and tips getting a really lovely finish on your garment including cutting out and working with super stretchy ribbed fabric, how to use stretch Maraflex thread, how to use stretch fix to neatly attach neckbands and straps, how to adjust strap length, how to sew different neckline options, how to neatly finish off the side seams and much more!

The video has over 30 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.

The link to the video will be contained in your order confirmation email along with the pdf files, please please file this safely for future reference. You can also access the video links and PDF files when logged into the website.

This pattern is aimed at confident beginners. It is recommended that you have sewn with jersey fabric before as the application of the neckband and straps requires some precise pressing and top stitching.

To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.

An overlocker can be used for sewing the side seams, but it is recommended that you use the sewing machine anyway for the neckline and straps. The garment can easily be made on a regular sewing machine, and due to the Maraflex thread, which gets used in the top and bobbin thread, you only need a straight stitch function.

If you would like a printed copy of the instructions sent out with your kit, in addition to the PDF copy that you will receive, please see the related products below and add it to your cart as a separate product.

Your kit will be wrapped in tissue and beautifully presented in recyclable packaging.
