February's kit includes everything you need to make the stylish Sew Liberated Stasia dress!
The Stasias' secret is a subtle 'V' shaped front bodice at the waistline, which provides plenty of room below for beautiful bellies. You'll feel free to move around in comfort and ease while swishing around in the fullness of the skirt.
With various sleeve options (sleeveless, long and cap sleeve) two neckline options, two length options as well as a t-shirt and dress option - you can customise this versatile pattern to your preferences - it even has pockets! Yay!
We have two gorgeous fabric options for this kit.
The Legion blue modal is knitted and dyed here in the UK especially for g&g, with a super soft handle and heavier weight it's comfortable to wear and hangs beautifully in the fullness of the skirt.
The Abstract Droplet modal is very fluid with amazing drape making for extra swishy-ness in the skirt section.
The Stasia pattern come in a size range from US 0-34. In this kit is enough fabric to make up to size US 20 in a longer length with long sleeves.
Alongside the purchase of this kit you will receive access to a Laurens exclusive YouTube video to be used alongside the pattern instructions.
She shares her hints and tips for getting a lovely finish including prewashing advice, cutting out tips, stabilising the pocket openings with interfacing, attaching the neckband, sewing the hem and much more!
The video has over 24 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.
The link to the video will be contained in your order confirmation email along with the pdf files, please please file this safely for future reference.
This pattern is suitable for confident beginners who have made other simple jersey garments before. The type of fabric included in the kit is trickier to handle compared to heavier weight stretchy/jersey fabric such as sweat-shirting or French terry, which is why more experience is recommended.
To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.
An Overlocker is useful for sewing some of the the seams, but is not essential, the garment can easily be made completely on a regular sewing machine using a stretch stitch.
If you would like a printed copy of the instructions sent out with your kit, in addition to the PDF copy that you will receive, please see the related products below and add it to your cart as a separate product.
Your kit will be wrapped in tissue and beautifully presented in recyclable packaging.
We will aim to dispatch all kits as soon as possible after orders are placed, but be aware it could take up to as late as Friday 18th February.
