A graceful dress to have you ready for any event, this kit includes everything you need to make the Lulee Dress from Papercut Patterns!
The Lulee Dress has a timeless silhouette with a cut that gently skims the body and is the perfect choice for the upcoming wedding season! It has a classic darted bodice with just the right amount of ease for you to feel comfortable all day.
Lulee’s fitted bodice is beautifully complimented by on-trend gathered sleeves, which can be made with a short or ¾ length. At the back there is an elegant key-hole opening, which is finished with bias binding and a tie detail. The key-hole finishes above bra height, but should you prefer more coverage then Lauren demonstrates how to easily alter the pattern to make the opening smaller in her top tips video.
The pieces for the skirt are cut on the bias giving it great movement and drape. There’s options for a short or long length, though this can easily be altered to suit your personal style (as Lauren discusses in her video). Lulee also includes the option to make a standalone skirt with a waistband which can be made in a wide array of fabrics - giving you even more mileage from your pattern!
The dress closes with an invisible zip in the side seam, making it easy to access. If you’re not a fan of sewing concealed zips, then Lauren demonstrates an alternative method in her accompanying video which helps to avoid the dreaded bubble occurring at the bottom!
The fabrics we’ve sourced for Lulee have both a beautiful print and weight which pair perfectly with this pattern to create a dress that will make you feel amazing!
All kits include enough fabric to make either view.
The fabric for this kit is available in two colourways: purple and teal.
This stunning fabric is a viscose blend with a gorgeous texture and great drape. It’s heavier in weight than a plain weave viscose and totally opaque. The texture is reminiscent of a finely woven linen, as the fabric has a slight slubby texture. The colours of the print are deep and saturated. It is 87% EcoVero™ viscose and 13% polyamide.
EcoVero™ viscose is a more sustainable fibre due to the unique methods used for its production. The fibres are derived from sustainable wood sources and the manufacturing cycle has been developed to drastically reduce the environmental impact compared to traditional viscose production.
