A separate PJ's bottoms and top set, the Carolyns boast a notched collar, curved hem and breast pocket with 3 sleeve options to choose from. The bottoms have a comfortable elasticated waist with pockets and a faux fly detailing.
Choose to optionally add contrasting flat piping for an elegant finish around the collar and cuffs. This project can test your skills if you desire, or pair things back and simplify the design by omitting the features you wish.

There are two separate videos, one covering how to make the PJ bottoms and one covering the PJ shirt. The videos cover the key construction steps including how to make continuous bias tape to make flat piping and how to then insert the flat piping neatly into the garment in various areas to create a beautiful detailed trim.

This project is aimed at intermediated sewers however you can omit the trickier features to make the construction slightly easier.
To complete this project you'll need a basic sewing tools, find out what Lauren recommends in this article. You'll need a regular sewing machine. An Overlocker is useful but not essential.
