Afterlight is an exclusive G&G viscose twill sateen inspired by the Scottish night sky. Set against a deep, inky navy and blue background, warm golden stars, moons, planets and clouds glow against the darker sky, layered with tiny scattered star fields and larger celestial motifs. Some details appear crisp and bright while others fade into the background, creating an atmospheric design with a real sense of depth and changing light.

Part of our new Scottish-inspired Autumn/Winter collection, Afterlight was developed under the creative direction of G&G founder Lauren Guthrie and grew from her research into the connection between Scotland's ancient landscapes and the skies above them.

Printed onto a beautifully soft 100% viscose twill sateen, Afterlight has a silky feel and wonderfully fluid, swishy drape. The subtle sateen finish catches the light as the fabric moves, which works particularly beautifully with this design, adding another dimension to the celestial details and their warm golden glow.

This lightweight fabric is ideal for blouses, tops and dresses, especially styles with gathers, fuller sleeves and flowing shapes that make the most of its movement.
