Sneak Peak Learn to Sew with Lauren and Launch Party Details

With less than a month before my book, Learn to Sew, is published (read more about that in this blog post) I wanted to share a little sneak peak of the book with you. I was so excited when I got the first advance copy and saw it all as an actual real book!

I love fabric so much that I wanted to offer a range of projects that would inspire you to incorporate it into every aspect of your life from stylish garments and home wares to practical bags and accessories. As well as 20 projects that help you gradually learn and develop your sewing skills, there is also a comprehensive techniques section in the book, which acts as a great tool kit to refer back to.

They are all really clearly explained with full colour photographs. I always find it easier to look at pictures first!

From the basic hand stitches to my tricks and tips like making and applying bias binding, it will help you learn and build up your sewing skills.

The books official release date is Monday 1st September and on Saturday 6th September we are having a special launch party day in the shop, which I hope you can all come too!?

It’s going to be an awesome day with taster make and take workshops offering a chance to check out all the projects in the book, pick up the same fabric I used and have some homemade lemonade or tea and cake.

We are offering a choice of two projects for the make and take workshops:

  • a mini version of the envelope cushion cover project which you’ll turn into a pin cushion – a perfect addition to your sewing kit
  • a cute little bow from the bow belt project which you can turn into a brooch, or hair accessory

The taster workshops are suitable for all abilities including complete beginners.

Book a slot for FREE when pre-ordering a signed book from us. You can pre-order online by clicking here or give the shop a call to book – 0121 449 8419 (we’re open Tuesday – Saturday 9.30-5.30pm).

The first 50 copies sold will also get one of my 50 limited edition books that have an extra special accessory – made by me! (These ones are only available when buying a book from us.)
