Our Gorgeous Floral Spring Window Display

I've got a lovely fresh new window display to share with you this week! Jo has designed another amazing display that fills our bright and sunny bay window in the shop. The garments

By Hand London Hannah Wrap Top and True Bias Emerson Trousers

For this outfit we have paired with By Hand London Hannah Wrap top, which also has a wrap dress variation as part of the pattern, with the True Bias Emerson Trousers. The light weight viscose fabric used for the Hannah Top works well with the gathers in this style. By Hand London recently stopped producing their traditional paper patterns but you can still access the PDF from their website, linked here, and then make use of our A0 pattern printing service to save you sticking all the pieces together.

The Emersons are made using our Ramie fabric, which has a textured natural feel to it. Similar to linen, but a little heavier, it's perfect for summer weight trousers and comes in a variety of beautiful colours!

The Cashmerette Roseclair Dress

Using the gorgeous new Viola Viscose twill print from Fabric Godmother we made a Cashmerette Roseclair warp dress. This pattern in available in US sizes 0-32 with several different dressmakers cup size options making it even easier to get a great fit on this classic style. The pattern also has several length options for a more dramatic tiered maxi dress look!

The Merchant and Mills Florence Dress

This simple, loose design of this dress makes it perfect for spring/summer. It would look as equally lovely layered up with tights, boots and a cardigan for cooler days through to sandals in the summer. The pattern also offers a top length version which is also lovely and would look great with high waisted jeans.

The Friday Pattern Company Adrienne Top and True Bias Lander Trousers

This is a great combo. The fuller style of the gathered sleeves in the Adrienne Top work really nicely with drapy jersey fabrics containing viscose, tencel or modal. This version of the top was from a previous window display and uses a fabric that we have since sold out of but I have linked several other lovely options below.

The classic Lander trousers are a great one for summer, especially with their on trend wider leg. This version was made using our 100% linen fabric, which is now back in stock in several colours.

The details

The attention and thought to all the details in our window displays that Jo gives always just finishes it off perfectly. This time, with the help of the rest of the team, we used a Sizzix dye cut machine to cut out a LOT of paper flowers, which Jo then stitched together on the machine to make an amazing collection of hanging flowers. The addition of our fun over sized haberdashery props and vases of eucalyptus leaves give a lovely touch too!
