What an amazing month for new fabrics March has been! Wow so many new arrivals! I've selected some gorgeous ones to share with you in this months round up on my Youtube channel and you can find all the fabrics I mention in that particular video linked in this blog post. It's the easiest way to find something specific that I mention but to see the very latest new arrivals, as we tend to get more fabric each week, check out the Just Arrived section of the website for new weekly inspiration!
This selection of printed and embroidered cotton double gauze fabrics are perfect for light weight tops and blouses or summery dresses. Check out my double gauze blog post linked at the bottom of this page if you are new to working with this type of fabric - it's got lots of tips and ideas of what to make!
Our classic 100% linen fabrics are now back in stock in a range of lovely colours. A new addition to our summery linen fabrics is a viscose linen mix that has the same lovely natural texture of a linen fabric but with the drape and softness of a viscose. A super versatile fabric it's great for everything from blouses and tops to dresses, jumpsuits, trousers and skirts!
We now have the new 100% cotton corduroy fabric from Atelier Brunette. It is even more special as the width of the 'whales' on the cord vary, given a lovely texture to the fabric. It would be great fro skirts, trousers, pinafore dresses, dungarees and light weight summery jackets!
Also just arrived is the washed corduroy fabric, which is a double sided fabric with a super soft and plush fur backing. This ready lined fabric is great for simple jackets for adults and kids!
These amazing quilted fabrics are super fun and would be great for a cute little jacket!
Viscose Prints
These pretty floral prints are all on viscose base cloths with a bit of a twist! The metallic dobby spot ones have a the textured gold thread woven through them that catches the light beautifully and the slightly heavier weight of stretch viscose makes the fabric even more versatile. With its twill weave and small elastane component, the fabric has a little bit of stretch, but would still be classed as a woven fabric.
This selection of lighter weight tencel denims feel super soft and have a great amount of stretch for comfy trousers or summery jeans!
These gorgeous, delicate lace fabrics would look lovely layered up with some cotton lawn/voile or some plain viscose/cupro or could also be used as a trim or feature on a garment.
These comfortable stretchy sweat-shirting fabrics still have that cosy fleece back but aren't too thick and heavy for this time of year. Use them with all your classic jumper/sweater patterns or opt for something that you can layer up with like the True Bias Marlo cardigan.
