New Fabrics Round Up - April 2024

Hey Hannah here! In this blog post, I'm sharing all of the latest summery fabrics and ideas for what types of garments to make with them. It is a great way for you to see the fabrics close up and get a feel for how they move and drape - it's a also a great way to shop for fabric online if you are too far afield to visit our shop in person!

Sevenberry Cotton Linen Fabric

This rich in texture Sevenberry is 80% Cotton and 20% Linen. Perfect for crafty makes, home furnishings and me-made accessories such as the Luskentyre!

Our collection features a beautiful array of patterns, ensuring there's something to suit every taste! From timeless stripes to vibrant polka dots and floral motifs, there's plenty of inspiration to play with. These colour-rich designs offer exciting opportunities for colour-blocking, while the patterns themselves make pattern-matching a breeze.

Drapey Floral Viscose

Viscose is renowned for its softness and silky smooth texture. Their lightweight nature allows them to effortlessly float and drape, creating a stunning aesthetic when fashioned into garments. Ideal for creating elegant dresses or flowing skirts.

Their drape lends itself perfectly to garments with gathers or fullness, as they sway beautifully. Whether it's a billowy skirt or a gathered bodice, these fabrics enhance the overall look by draping and swishing gracefully, adding a touch of refinement to any outfit.

Nani Iro Cotton Double Gauzes

These amazing fabrics from Japanese designer Nani Iro are like works of art on a fabric! Spot subtle metallic accents and soft Spring shades in these gorgeous floral-inspired prints.

Nani Iro Cotton Linen

These linen and cotton linen blends are lovely fabrics to sew with and wear in the summer. The dreamy combination of the linen and cotton make them perfect for summer tops and blouses.
