Love At First Stitch - Book Party!

As if having Tillys book, Love at First Stitch, published wasn't exciting enough, to have her in person at our own party in the shop was flippin' brilliant!

We set up a little special signing area in the shop, complete with balloons!

Luckily it was a gorgeous evening so the sofa was put out in the courtyard.....

The shop was buzzing and the summer tunes were playing...

There was some cracking handmade outfits including Ellens amazing hot pink Coco and matching Brigitte Scarf!

Lot's of books were signed....

Tilly got to meet Beth, the winner of the recent photo competition on her blog....

Then Jenni from this years Sewing Bee arrived,

Great minds....Tilly and Jenni had co-ordinating outfits on!

And it was Jenni's birthday so we flash mob stylee sung happy birthday to her!

Obligatory cake and cocktails were shared out...

Ok, we didn't make her work the *whole* time but it was so great to have Tilly come to visit for the evening!

And a huge thank you to everyone who came along on the night, I know some of you travelled really far which is so amazing - thank you!!

If you haven't got a copy of Tillys book yet I can confirm that you most definatly should! It's packed full of gorgeous stylish projects, handy technique sections on everything you need to know to complete the projects and is generally a really really lovely book to look at and very inspiring!

I've already made the Megan Dress (picture above and blog post here) and have the Mimi blouse in some of the gorgeous new Atelier Brunette fabric as a work in progress!
