Look around our gorgeous Spring Window Display

March 2021

Our gorgeous, colourful new Spring window display is looking amazing and I wanted to give you a tour around and share the garments we have featured.

Jo, who designs all of our window displays, has done another fabulous job and created a striking display featuring lovely big paper flowers and a fun rainbow garland.

See the window in detail in my latest Youtube video on a bright sunny day!

The garments

We have four lovely outfits featured in this window. The Merchant and Mills Edie top in our fusion coral double gauze fabric is a great match. The fullness of the sleeves works well with this light weight fabric and the little key hole opening at the back adds a nice detail.

The next garment is the Friday Pattern Company Adrianna Top using our soft brushed marl viscose jersey. The fullness of the statement sleeves on the Adrianna pairs perfectly with the viscose jersey as it's light weight and drapes beautifully.

Our next outfit pairs the True Bias Rio Ringer tee with our ginger and light pink stripe loopback jersey and the True Bias Marlo Cardigan with our Soft Pink Snuggly Waffle jersey fabric.

The Marlo is currently available as a PDF pattern from the True Bias website. To save you printing and sticking it together at home, why not make use of our handy Pattern printing service?!

Finally we used our loopback jersey modal to make a classic Grainline Linden sweater. This is a lighter weight fabric than you might typically think to make a sweater pattern but it works really well for a more relaxed style with drape and movement. It's such a comfy fabric to wear!

The details

The beautiful paper flowers in the window are so bright - like a fun flower meadow! The look really striking from the outside.

The fun rainbow paper garland also adds a lovely touch!

Make your own sneakers

We have also featured the Sneakerkit soles that we sell. Now you can take your handmade wardrobe to another level and make your own shoes! No special machines required, these sneakers are all stitched by hand using strong waxed thread and a long needle that come with each set of soles. All you need are some punch pilers and either leather or strong canvas.

We do have a limited amount of leather available for using with the soles. For a greater selection I would recommend checking out Mannorside leathers They have an amazing shop and warehouse in Redditch (not too far from the shop) but also sell through an etsy shop online.
