Sharon joined us for one of our retreats last year and started making a Closet Case Clare Coat. She has recently finished her coat and it looks absolutely beautiful! She used a lovely green wool and took extra time to pipe her lining and create a bound buttonhole which was definitely worth it!
Suzie made this cute mini skirt with Atelier Brunette Shimmer Chic Jacquard, using the Sister Mini Skirt pattern from Vanessa Pouzet. It looks stunning and easy to wear and best of all, only used 50cm of fabric! Emma also used fabric by Atelier Brunette; she visited our stand at the Knitting and Stitching show and bought a piece of Moonstone Blue to make this stunning midi skirt! It's a perfect pattern and fabric combination, it looks so elegant!
Mel used a classic navy and white loopback jersey to make a Tessuti Patterns Mandy Boat Tee. This top looks super chic and easy to wear and best of all, it's free! Jo and Penny have both used a Mustard and Green Striped Modal Jersey to make cute t-shirts. Penny used the Tilly and the Buttons Agnes pattern and Jo attended our Learn How To Use An Overlocker Workshop which is perfect for anyone who wants to get to grips with their machine!
Laura said she couldn't resist this Swooping Swans Cotton Lawn and sewed herself up a a superb new dress, using a pattern from Stoff 2000. The simplicity of this pattern pairs perfectly with the fabric, allowing the swans to remain uninterrupted! Sarah's first make of 2019 was the ruffle top from Named's Breaking The Pattern book. and she used Twilight Bloom Florenza Crepe which she picked up from us back at Sew Brum! It looks so pretty and the weight of this fabric works perfectly with the ruffle, making them look floaty and ethereal.
Angela snapped some up of our two-tone jersey fabric to make lovely Sew House Seven Toaster Sweater which has handy little side vents to show flashes of the pink reverse! Becky combined Baby Pink and Deep Maroon loopback jerseys to make a lovely Linden Sweatshirt. The Linden is a firm favourite of everyone here at g&g and hopefully you can see why! Suzi, who lives all the way in the USA, used the beautiful Liberty Loopback Mary Jean B to make a super soft and cosy sweatshirt that will hopefully be keeping her warm right now!
