Spotted on the Sewing Bee

Series 5 - Episode 6 - British and Irish Fabrics

We have got such a rich history of textile manufacturing and I was so pleased to see this celebrated on the show. I'm sure a lot of people don't realise that there are still fabric made here in the UK and I'm really proud to say that we stock some of them in the shop!

Two of the challenges this week were around making outerwear. The first challenge saw the contestants use Irish linen to make a soft tailored mans blazer and the show stopper challenge, a ladies woollen coat.

If you are feeling inspired to give sewing outerwear a go there are now so many lovely options out there with lots of inspiration and support online to help you along on the way.
