About this workshop

Before the workshop begins, it's worth noting that some patterns may require a bit of pre-workshop preparation, such as creating a toile. Additionally, for certain patterns, it's recommended to have all your materials cut out in advance to maximise our sewing time together over the weekend. Not to fret though!

Lisa will personally guide you through these details in a pre-workshop consultation call. This ensures you're fully prepared and equipped to make the most out of our sewing adventure. We're here to make your experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible!

✨Now for the exciting bit! ✨

Choose your Avid Seamstress pattern from the following selection to make during the sewing weekend!

Let's make sure your pattern is suited to your skill level! During your pre-workshop consultation call with Lisa, you will discuss your pattern choice and ensure it is the appropriate level for you! (We advise you to wait until after your phone call to start buying fabric and notions)

Lisa Falconer - Avid Seamstress

An avid maker herself, The Avid Seamstress was created from a deep love of Lisa's sewing and the absolute joy that comes from making amazing garments.

When creating The Avid Seamstress, one of Lisa's biggest priorities was to create sewing patterns with straightforward and easy to understand instructions. Lisa wanted to avoid those head-scratching moments and feelings of disappointment when something doesn’t quite make sense. Because of this, The Avid Seamstress sewing patterns are always tested by a team of pattern testers to ensure that their instructions are clear and the pattern is ready for release.
