Level 6 - Advanced Dressmaker

Making Your Custom Fit Jeans

Have you always wanted custom fitting jeans? Are you an experienced dressmaker looking to further develop your skills? Learn how to make a pair of jeans to your body measurements in this fun two-day workshop.

Using your choice of either the Closet Core Ginger Jeans (skinny fit), Cashmerette Ames Jeans (skinny or straight fit), or the Megan Nielsen Dawn Jeans (rigid denim - 4 styles) you will learn how to make yourself a gorgeous pair of denim jeans.

The Ginger Jeans are designed for stretch denim and can be made as either a comfortable low rise jean with narrow stovepipe legs or a high-waisted jean with skinny legs and a tummy-slimming pocket stay. Available in US sizes 0 - 20.

The Ames are designed for stretch denim and can be made as either skinny or straight fit. Available in US sizes 12 - 28, they can be tailored for apple or pear shapes. Featuring a high rise and pocket stay for secret smooth shaping, these jeans are flattering and versatile.

The Dawns are a classic high waisted rigid jean pattern set. Includes four cuts and multiple lengths for tall, regular and cropped. Pattern features a high rise to sit on the natural waist, button fly (you will be taught how to change this to a zippered fly), close fit through the waist and hips and classic jeans details. This pattern is available in AUS sizes 0 - 20 or we can print the PDF Dawn Curve for your class in sizes 14 - 30. Due to time limitations and to ensure you get the right fit on your jeans, you will not be able to do the button fly front option on this pattern in the class.

PLEASE NOTE - If the class is showing as fully booked, please contact us on [email protected] and we can check availability. Sometimes we can experience a glitch in the website where the workshop appears as fully booked when it is not. We are fixing it as soon as possible.

To allow more time to choose we recommend that you pick your fabric in advance but we can help you choose something from the shop on the day as well. We also advise for you to wash your fabric in advance, to allow for any shrinkage beforehand, instead of once you've made your gorgeous pair of jeans!
