This Liberty Hesper B Tana Lawn Cotton Fabric represents Hesper, the personification of the Evening Star - this design depicts a twinkling night sky in blues and yellows on a black background. Inspired by Matisse’s paper cut-outs, the layout was created by making star shapes in coloured card and layering them up, before carefully scanning the result into the computer. An inverted shadow has been added, to give depth to the design.
