Zadie Jumpsuit Kit

A stylish and super comfortable jumpsuit for relaxing summer days and nights, July's Sewing Society Kit contains everything you need to make the popular, on trend Paper Theory Zadie Jumpsuit.

The Zadie Jumpsuit is a relaxed and easy to wear one piece with a loose fit and interesting wrap design detail. It wraps around the body and fastens with a tie so there is no need for buttons or a zip - making it quick and to easy sew, and quick and easy to get on and off - yay!

Choose between a short sleeved drop shoulder length, or add on a 3/4 length sleeve for more arm coverage. The legs are cut wide and are designed to skim above the ankle, but the pattern can easily be shortened or lengthened to make a fun summery playsuit shorts version, or a more dressier full leg length.

With deep slant pockets on the front and small pleats at the waist on the front and back, this jumpsuit is practical as well as stylish.

We have chosen 3 fabrics for this kit.

The Rosella Pebble Spot Viscose fabric comes in two colour-ways: Teal and Rust. This fabric is 97% viscose and 3% elastane, woven in a twill weave, which gives it a more luxurious weighty feel. Still classed as a woven fabric, but with the perfect amount of give/stretch for extra comfort when wearing this jumpsuit.

The Navy Sorona Linen fabric is made up of 45% linen, 22% Viscose, 18% Sorona and 15% Cotton. Sorona is unique in that the fibre offers excellent stretch and recovery without the need for spandex or elastane. It is more resistant to creases, exceptionally soft, lightweight, breathable, fast-drying and UV & chlorine resistant. The overall finish on this fabric is still textured like 100% linen, but more subtly as it’s mixed with other fibres. It is also more tightly woven, but still feels more lightweight than our enzyme washed linen. As it contains some viscose fibres, it means the fabric is more fluid and drapes more.

This kit comes in size range UK 6-28.

Bust 31.5" - 56", Hip 34" - 57.5" and Waist 24" - 47.5".

This pattern is aimed at advanced beginner sewers. Construction is simple but it is recommended that you carefully consider the size you make, taking into consideration the finished garment measurements as well as crotch depth to get a fit and finish you are happy with. This may involve making a toile or practise version first.

To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.

An Overlocker is useful for finishing off the seam allowances, but is not essential, the garment can easily be made completely on a regular sewing.

If you would like a printed copy of the instructions sent out with your kit, in addition to the PDF copy that you will receive, please see the related products below and add it to your cart as a separate product.

Your kit will be wrapped in tissue and beautifully presented in recyclable packaging.
