May New Fabric Arrivals

It's been a super exciting month here at g&g with so many new fabric arrivals into the shop! So many that I've selected the top ones that we still have stock of! The beautiful Nani Iro range that came in at the beginning of the month has almost all gone already. We are trying to get some more, so do let us know if the one you love the most is out of stock and we can keep you updated. Browse the selection we do have left in this link.

Designer Collections

Many of the beautiful fabrics that we stock in the shop are classed as 'designer fabrics', which means that they are sourced from a company who curate and design their own collections of fabric and have built up a reputation of a certain aesthetic or style, whether that be a colour palate, print designs or a type of fabric base cloth. The first range of fabrics I have to share with you are all designer ranges that have their own unique stamp.

Meet Milk

'Meet milk' are a Danish company who focus a lot on more sustainable base cloths. You can find out more about them in this link.

We have added to our collection of Meet Milk fabrics, these beautifully soft and drapy ribbed tencel jerseys. They feel sublime and are great for tops, t-shirts and dresses as despite their light weight they are still pretty opaque when stretched.

This selection of smooth drape Tencel twills are a really versatile fabric. The drape beautifully as well and are opaque making them perfect for anything from jumpsuits and trousers to dresses, light weight jackets and tops and blouses.

Atelier Brunette

These amazing gingham double gauze fabrics come in a lovely range of Atelier Brunette hues. With a mini check on one side and a medium check on the other, they offer a lovely chance for come contrasting and co-ordinating with your me made makes!

Liberty Fabrics

Another gorgeous selection of prints to our Tana Lawn range of fabrics along with the much anticipated arrival of the Liberty swimwear fabrics! Wow! Just Wow! They are so vibrant and beautiful!

Fabric Godmother

These striking viscose sateens are perfect for that special occasion you may have coming up. Whether it's a wedding or a long awaited summer garden party, these silky fabrics are perfect for swishy dresses and tops.

New notions

With a gorgeous colour selection these new double woven cotton cords, ideal for hoodies and jogging bottoms and these pretty scalloped edge fold over elastics, perfect for knicker making - these new notions will give a lovely professional finish to your projects.

Double Gauze Prints

These soft and light weight cotton double gauze fabrics have a lovely simple print on them, perfect for summer tops, blouses and dresses. You can read more about sewing with double gauze and get specific pattern recommendations in this blog post.

Embroidered Fruity Fabrics

The detailed embroidery on these fine blue pin stripe cotton fabrics is so vibrant with a choice of pineapples, watermelons and cherrys. Perfect for crisp summery blouses and shirt dresses.

Cotton 'bottom weight' fabrics

This selection of cotton and cotton stretch fabrics have a bit more body/structure to them with an added bit of stretch. They are perfect for garments that are worn on your bottom half like trousers, shorts, more structured skirts and jumpsuits.
