It has been, quite possibly, the busiest month on record for new fabric arrivals to the g&g shop so this newsletter and my latest new fabrics round up is jam packed with lots of inspiring project ideas and fabric eye candy!
From new designer collections from Liberty and Fabric Godmother, to summery viscose linen prints soft and drapey jerseys and some novelty prints there is lots of choose from!
You can see all the fabrics up close in my latest Youtube video - it's a great way to shop the fabrics, see their texture, weight and drape if you can't make it to the store in-person!
As well as a beautiful selection of prints from the Spring Summer 2023 range of Liberty Tana Lawns we have also stocked up on prints from their Classic collection including Strawberry Thief, Queue for the Zoo and Capel.
This selection of pretty cotton lawn prints have vibrant colours and fun floral prints.
These delicate, summery double gauze fabrics, with their subtle metallic gold pin stripe would make for lovely cool garments to wear in warmer weather.
Full of amazing colours and quirky details, the new collection from Fabric Godmother features viscose linen, cotton lawn and Ecovero Viscose base cloths.
These plain weave viscose prints have a super soft and smooth surface and drape beautifully so would look gorgeous in fuller garments that have swish and movement.
The combination of viscose and linen is lovely to wear as the weather gets warmer. Remember, the hight the percentage of viscose, the lighter weight the fabric will be and the more drape it will have. This makes these fabrics really versatile for tops, blouses, dresses and lighter weight trousers and skirts.
By popular demand, the low pill micro modal fabric we featured in our Helens Closet Avery Leggings kits last year is back!
This selection of jersey fabrics all have a fibre content that gives them a lot of drape, swish and movement. Some have bamboo, some have viscose and some even have a little bit of linen that gives them a lovely natural colour and texture.
This selection of jersey fabrics are mainly cotton based so it means they hold their shape and structure more than the jerseys featured above. They are all single knit, t-shirt type weight fabrics so are great for tops, Pjs and kids clothes.
