Lovely new fabric arrivals to the shop

July 2017

Lots of new fabric deliveries in the shop always keeps my 'to sew' list topped up, so I wanted to show you some of gorgeous new additions to our collection over the past month or so.

You can check out my latest Youtube video to see how the fabrics drape and move or keep reading for picture and links to all the fabrics I mention!

Linen is such a lovely fabric to wear at this time of year and we have had some beautiful new prints in that are perfect for statement dresses or skirts or perfect for beach caftans!

I love the colours in these two abstract prints.

And this ex-designer Hawaiian extravaganza one is so much fun!

These lovely soft viscose prints are ideal for floaty tops and blouses.

We have also added to our large range of liberty tana lawns and now also have some silk crepe de chines too which are absolutely beautiful!

I especially love the neon pop of colour in this traditional Wiltshire print, as well as the pinks and yellows in this XXX print (which I couldn’t resist making a little sleeveless summer top in!)

I always love a bit of nautical fabric! These lovely cotton poplin prints are great for dresses, skirts and more boxy structured tops.

This new range of lightweight denims is great for summer trousers or skirts or even a summer version of the Cleo dungaree dress. It has a bit of elastane it in too which makes it even more comfortable to wear!

These even lighter weight denims are perfect for shirts and dresses. They are a bit like a shot cotton in that there is a coloured thread in the weave so it give a lovely two tone effect to the fabric. The light coloured one has a light coral/salmon pink woven in and the darker one has a bright limey green.

I’ve seen so many pretty gingham tops pop up on my Instagram feed lately and I’ve kept a bit of our navy one to the side to make a little top – I just haven’t decided what one yet!

The next baby related project I’m planning is some cute dribble bibs with our new terrific teddies cotton jersey and our stretch towelling – which comes in 3 soft colours.

And finally if you are started to think beyond hot sticky days or the weather feels like it has already started to turn wherever you are in the country then these lovely cosy fleece back sweatshirt fabrics will have you as snug as a bug in no time. They are very similar to the quality of our popular cosy colours range of fabrics, but these ones have a grey fleck running through them to give a marl effect.

This lightweight loop back sweat shirting has amazing neon coloured flecks running though it. This is definitely getting added to my to sew pile for an over sized jumper – I love it

This awesome chevron quilted jersey is perfect for keeping you cosy! It comes in a stone and light grey colour and has little coloured flecks as well which add a nice texture.
