With so many of you busy sewing in the new year, I wanted to put a new makers gallery together to showcase all the gorgeous makes I've been seeing online with fabrics you've made from the shop!
I love seeing all the creativity you guys have, it's so inspiring to see what different ideas you come up for our fabrics.
I love Charlottes beautiful coat using our pink melton wool and this lovely blouse using our peacock feather silk was designed by Claire for the BBC's Father Brown and made by Esther.
This super cute cardigan made by Sal using our sweat-shirt fabric is amazing - I love the contrast! Siobhan made a lovely Arielle Skirt using our mustard denim in one of our workshops. Patricias Heather dress looks so cosy using our mustard cosy colours fabric.
Talking of cosy, there have been lots of lovely cosy jumpers, tops and dresses around!
Patricia made a lovely Seamwork Astoria sweater in our turquoise cosy colours fabric. Alcreates made a cute Named Talvikki jumper using our classic grey sweatshirt fabric. Dart and Threads Grainline Linden looks amazingly cosy using our plush backed jersey!
I love the side vents of Rebeccas Toaster sweater using our fuschia cosy colours. Our grey fleece jersey fabric looks great in Sarahs cowl neck Renfrew top. Abi made this awesome Finlayson sweater for her brother.
Helen made a gorgeous Grainline Morris blazer using our new Atelier Brunette French Terry - so nice - and Sarah made a lovely jacket using our rust wool, which is so beautifully lined and finished on the inside too.
If you follow me on Instagram, last week I started the #sewbluejanuary so we could all share our makes that are getting us through this month. The middle Monday in January has been dubbed the most depressing day of the year - Blue Monday - but I think doing something creative like sewing can be really good to help give you a boost! Here are some of your makes and if you have a look at the #sewbluemonday hashtag on Instagram you'll see lots of lovely projects getting stitched up!
Alex made this lovely Moneta dress using some of our wide stripe jersey and Sharon made an awesome coco using our Art Gallery striped jersey.
Here is a snap shot of some of the other lovely makes on the #sewbluejanuary
To be featured in the next Makers Gallery, tag me in the photo @guthrieghani or use the #gandgmakersgallery so I don't miss it!
Happy Sewing!
