Double Snap Frame Purse Inspiration

One thing I am starting to learn about running a shop full of all the things that you love is that its very very easy to get distracted from actually running it.

Ever since this spotty cotton canvas arrived I've caught myself in little day dreams about all the things that I want to do with it several times!

So yesterday I gave in and spent most of the morning making this little purse with one of the antique brass double purse frames that I also stock. Update - apologies these are now discontinued.

The special feature of this purse frame is that the second pocket is hidden inside! LOVE it!

I decided to add a little pocket for cards inside one of the bigger sections too.

I made the outside of the purse fairly simple because I like the fabric so much and didn't want to distract from that.

I added an applique design using free-hand embroidery on the front and when I superglued the body of the purse to the frame I added in a lace trim that I has left over from another project. I always like using little bits and bobs that I have lying around, it makes the pure a bit more personal and meaningful.
