Durban Jumpsuit Kit sizes 0-20

For this kit we've chosen a beautifully soft 10.4oz stretch denim, which is on the lighter side of mid-weight. It's available in two colours: light blue and mid blue.

To pair with each colour we've chosen two shades of metal buttons, from The Textile Garden.

Tencel is a more sustainable fibre as it is produced from eucalyptus trees, which are quick growing and need minimal pesticides. The fibres are extracted using a unique closed loop system which recovers and reuses the solvents used, minimising the environmental impact of production when compared to traditional production methods.

The fabric has a small elastane content, giving it 20% stretch across the cross grain and making it super comfy!

The composition of the fabric is 66% tencel, 23% polyester, 10% viscose, 1% elastane.

This pattern is available in sizes 0-20.

The bust measurement range is 32" - 46".

• 3.6m of the main fabric (as described above) - this is enough to make any sleeveless version of the jumpsuit*
• 50cm of grey non-woven medium weight interfacing
• 2 reels of matching Gutermann sew all thread, shade 13 (mid blue) or 71 (light blue). You may need additional thread if using it to finish off the seam allowances on the sewing machine, rather than an overlocker.

*If you would like to make the jumpsuit with sleeves then additional fabric can be purchased separately - please see the listing below. For the size 0-20 sleeve you will need 70cm of fabric.

She shares her hints and tips for getting a great finish on your jumpsuit, including how to finish the facings, how to sew inseam pockets, how to sew matching patch pockets, how to attach the placket, how to position the buttonholes and much more!

The video has over 36 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.

This pattern is rated as 3/5 by Megan Nielsen.

We'd class it as an intermediate pattern, due to the button placket and the fact it is a more involved make, but Lauren's top tips videos help to make the construction as straightforward as possible and it comes together surprisingly quickly.

To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.

An overlocker is useful for for finishing off the seam allowances. If you don't have one and are doing this on the sewing machine instead, you may need additional thread.

A Tailors Ham is useful for pressing the armhole facing.
