Summer Sewing Inspiration with the Flùr Collection | Sewing Street Replay

It is always a pleasure to be on Sewing Street sharing some of my favourite summer sewing projects! If you missed the show, or you'd like to watch it again, you can catch the replay below.

This hour was all about the Flùr Collection and exploring just how versatile these beautiful fabrics can be. From everyday tops to swishy skirts and easy summer dresses, it's a collection that lends itself to so many different styles.

The Lèana Blouse

Of course, I couldn't begin anywhere else! We revisited the Lèana kits, chatting through the beautiful details of the pattern and why it's become such a favourite. With delicate pintucks, gathers and lovely feminine shaping, it's a project that's as enjoyable to sew as it is to wear.

The Ember Dress

Next, I shared a couple of my Ember Dresses sewn in Flùr Posy and Flùr Dreams. The relaxed silhouette and soft drape of these fabrics make Ember such a lovely choice for summer. It's the kind of dress you'll reach for on warm days when you want something comfortable but still feel beautifully put together.

Laurence Top by Vivian Chao Chen

One of my favourite samples was the Laurence Top sewn in Flùr Meadow. It's such a simple shape, but I couldn't resist adding a removable shoulder tie for a little extra detail! It just shows how one small addition can completely change the feel of a garment and make it uniquely yours.

Fibre Mood Hettie Skirt

The Hettie Skirt in Flùr Meadow was paired with a Closet Core Azure Top made in our embroidered Godmother Palms fabric. Together they create such a fresh summer outfit and are a lovely reminder that prints and texture can work beautifully together.

Andi Skirt by Swim Style Patterns

Finally, I shared the Andi Skirt sewn in Flùr Dreams, styled with the Kila Tank in our caramel ribbed jersey. It's an easy outfit for everyday summer dressing and a great example of how a simple coordinating basic lets a beautiful print really shine.

I hope these projects have inspired your next make! If you'd like to shop the fabrics, kits and patterns featured in the show, you'll find everything linked in this blog post.
