2025 Window Display Round-Up

Here’s a look back at our 2025 window displays, season by season.

A Year in G&G Windows

Our shop windows tell a story every season, and 2025 has been one of our favourite years yet. From fresh spring wardrobes to sun-soaked summer celebrations, cosy autumn sewing and a truly special festive finale, each display has been designed to inspire, spark creativity and celebrate the joy of making.

Here’s a look back at our 2025 window displays, season by season.

🌸 Spring ☁️

The Dream Wardrobe

We started the year dreaming up the ultimate handmade wardrobe, the kind filled with pieces you reach for again and again. Our spring window was all about wardrobe staples, thoughtful fabric choices and garments that mix and match beautifully.

You’ll have spotted clean silhouettes, soft spring tones and outfits styled as complete looks rather than one-off makes. The idea was to get you thinking about how your sewing projects can work together, whether that’s a perfect everyday top, a well-loved pair of trousers or a jacket that pulls everything together.

It was a gentle nudge to sew with intention and build a wardrobe you truly love wearing.

🇬🇷 Greek Summer ☀️

Sunshine Sewing at G&G

Summer arrived with a burst of colour and a Greek inspired theme as part of our summer event celebrating the launch of the Greek Goddess Collection, our exclusive G and G fabric designs, and the windows followed suit.

This display was all about joyful, sunshine sewing. Think floaty dresses, breathable fabrics, bold prints and holiday ready makes. We leaned into relaxed silhouettes and easy wear pieces, perfect for warm days, evenings out and packing in a suitcase.

It was a reminder that summer sewing should feel fun and freeing, with goddess power energy running through the theme behind my fabric, and that sometimes a bold fabric choice is all the inspiration you need.

🍂Autumn 🍁

Cosy, Comfort-First Sewing

As the light softened and the days cooled, our autumn window turned towards cosy sewing and comforting makes.

This display focused on texture and layering, with autumnal colours, warm fabrics and outfits designed for everyday wear as the season changes. You’ll have seen pieces that feel practical but still special, the kind of garments you can throw on and feel instantly comfortable in.

It was all about sewing for real life, embracing slower projects and enjoying the process just as much as the finished garment.

✨ Winter ❄️

A Festive Window with Heart

Our festive window always feels special, but this year’s had an extra layer of meaning, it marked Jo’s 10th Christmas window at Guthrie & Ghani.

This super chic and navy and gold window display was packed with thoughtful details, beautiful makes and plenty of festive magic.

From carefully styled sequins and velous to seasonal touches throughout, it was a celebration of creativity, festive fun and a decade of Christmas windows that have inspired so many sewists over the years.

It felt like a lovely moment to pause, reflect and celebrate how far we’ve come and to say thank you to everyone who stops to admire the windows each festive season.

We really can't wait to share with you how Jo brings the seasons to life in our window displays next year ❤️
