A cosy jumper in a unique knit, this kit includes everything you need to make the Elliot Sweater from Helen's Closet!
Fight off the winter chill with the Elliot Sweater! This snuggly jumper will become your go-to once the cold starts to bite - lovely and warm yet can be styled with many different outfits.
The Elliot Sweater features a wide roll neck that can be left relaxed or folded down. It can also be sewn with double the height for extra warmth!
The pattern includes three length options - though there's plenty of scope to play around with this to get your perfect style. View A has a stylish high-low hem with a side slit that provides comfort around the hips. View B is hip height, pairing really well with jeans and View C is cropped to go with all your high-waisted makes. The side slit can also be combined with view B and the back length can be adjusted to suit your personal taste.
The raglan sleeves are easy to sew and include options for elbow or 3/4 lengths. Lauren also shows you how to lengthen the sleeves to full length with a few minor pattern adaptions.
For this kit we've sourced some lovely knitted fabrics that have a gorgeous texture to them. The cable and basket patterns are knitted into the fabric, giving the look of a hand knitted jumper without having to pick up a pair of needles!
Lauren's teal version was sewn with the double height roll neck. We wouldn't recommend sewing the View C neckband with the knitted fabric.
We've chosen three colours of this soft knitted fabric: navy, plum and teal.
This 100% cotton knitted fabric is a medium weight and comes in two knit designs; the navy and plum fabrics have a classic cable knit and the teal is a textured basket knit.
Due to the knitted construction of the fabrics they have a gentle stretch, which works well with the looser design of the Elliot Sweater.
This pattern is available in sizes US 0-34 (bust 31 - 60", waist 24 - 52", hips 33 - 62").
Finished garment measurements: bust/waist/hip 36.5 - 64.5"

A physical print out of the instruction booklet will NOT be included. You can view the instruction booklet on your device at home, print it out at home, or add the 'printed pattern instructions' product (see link below) to your order and we will print it for you.
Alongside the purchase of this kit you will receive access to Lauren’s exclusive YouTube video to be used alongside the pattern instructions.
She shares her hints and tips on getting a really lovely finish on your garment including how to work with thicker knitted fabrics and cut them straight, how to use stretchfix, how to sew with maraflex thread, how to lengthen the sleeves and much more!
The video has over 25 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.
The link to the video will be contained in your order confirmation email along with the pdf files, please file this safely for future reference.
Helen's Closet rate the Elliot Sweater pattern as suitable for advanced beginners. The construction itself it straightforward, though the thicker knit fabric adds a little more challenge.
To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.
An overlocker is helpful for finishing the raw edges of the fabric, but a regular sewing machine can also be used for this.
If you would like a printed copy of the instructions sent out with your kit, in addition to the PDF copy that you will receive, please see the related products below and add it to your cart as a separate product.
