Arlette is a classic wrap skirt which is elevated by the optional gathered flounce at the hem. This is finished with a delicate narrow hem which complements this feature beautifully.
The clever construction of the waistband means the ties sit neatly at the waist without adding bulk, with sew-on snaps added for extra security. No wardrobe malfunctions here!
To give a totally different look to the skirt, the flounce can be left off and a gently curved hem can be sewn. To make Arlette even more versatile we've also included instructions for how to level off the hem, creating a more understated style and adding extra coverage.
We've paired this pattern with two different base cloths that both contain linen, making them ideal for wearing in warmer weather. The viscose linens and cotton linen in the kits are all breathable fabrics which help you to stay comfortable in the summer heat. Choose from timeless solids or have some fun with our lively print!
We've chosen three gorgeous fabrics for this kit: raspberry and sky blue viscose linen and summer multi print cotton linen.
All of the fabrics are part linen, which is the perfect fibre for wearing in summer. It keeps you cool in the heat and the linen content gives the fabrics that beautiful nubby texture that we love linen for.
The viscose content in the raspberry and sky blue fabrics provides a lovely drape, which adds to the movement of the skirt. The fabric is 75% viscose, 25% linen.
The Summer Multi print is deadstock fabric and is 55% linen, blended with 45% cotton. The cotton element adds a softness to the fabric and helps to give the fabric a gentle drape.
