Amelia Bomber Jacket Kit

The perfect jacket for springtime in some truly gorgeous fabrics, March's kit includes everything you need to make the Amelia Bomber Jacket from Wardrobe By Me patterns.

The Amelia Bomber jacket is set to be a new statement piece in your wardrobe. A great item for between seasons, this fully lined jacket will be the perfect item to pull on when you’re trying to negotiate the constantly changing weather forecast!

The Amelia jacket has a slim silhouette, with bust darts for shaping and straight set in sleeves. The side seams are positioned slightly to the front to accommodate in-seam pockets, which are faced so your lining stays hidden.

Inside, the lining is fully bagged out, giving a lovely clean finish you can be proud of. Ribbed details are used to finish off the jacket at the collar, cuffs and hem and provide a comfy fit. In her tips video Lauren shows you how to shorten the included metal zip for sizes 0-12, which also means you have the option to shorten your jacket if you prefer a cropped look.

And of course we have to mention that fabric! The amazing jacquard fabric we’ve chosen for this kit was woven in France especially for us here at g&g. We’re totally smitten with this eye-catching design.

The fabric for this kit is available in three colourways: sky, olive and black.

The outer fabric is a woven jacquard with a unique design. The back of the fabric is a reverse of the front design, meaning you could use this side and opt for a lighter coloured jacket if you’d prefer. The fabric hangs softly and has an almost bouncy texture. It is 60% cotton and 40% polyester.

For the lining we’ve chosen coordinating plain viscose twills. This fabric is smooth and drapey, but with a little stability due to the twill weave. It is 100% viscose.

The ribbing we've included in the kits is a lovely stable 2 x 2 rib knit, which has great stretch to it. It is 95% cotton and 5% elastane.

To see the outer fabrics close up check out the video in the main gallery above by swiping left.

This pattern is available in sizes 0-24. Bust 30-50”, waist 23-42.5” and hip 33-53".

The full size charts, including finished measurements, can be viewed in the gallery above.
