The Poppy Blouse is an easy to wear top with lots of lovely details. It has a peasant blouse inspired shape which is loose and relaxed, making it super comfortable.
It has easy to sew raglan sleeves which are gathered at the hem into a delicate cuff. We’ve also included elastic in this kit which Lauren shows you how to add into the sleeve hem for an alternative finish.
Gentle gathers frame the neckline of the blouse which features a pretty ruffle collar. In her top tips video, Lauren demonstrates how to adjust the height of this collar or simply remove it entirely to suit your style. The height of the neckline opening can also easily be adjusted for more or less coverage.
The inner neckline is finished with binding which creates a dainty tie, giving the option to wear the top open or tied with a little bow. The bottom of the top can also be finished with a gathered ruffle tier or this can be omitted for a less voluminous look.
French seams work beautifully in these lightweight viscose fabrics and Lauren demonstrates how to sew these when working with a small seam allowance. She also shows you how to self-bind a gathered seam, to get the look of a French seam on the ruffle layer.
The Poppy blouse is a laid-back top which has the happy mix of comfort and feel good factor. It also comes with the choice of three different bust cup fits for all sizes, helping you to avoid those extra pattern adjustments - hooray!

The distinctive 'Chicacheetah' print, designed by Rachel Parker and exclusive to us here at g&g, is back with two new colour-ways and the return of one of our favourites!
The print is on a soft and fluid 100% viscose poplin base cloth, which has a plain weave giving it a smooth matt finish. It drapes beautifully and gives just the right amount of fullness to the delicate gathers of the top.
Choose between the new Blue and Pink, or classic Teal colour-ways. The dominant background colour is what distinguishes each colour-way and then they all have pops of multiple bright colours, inspired by the popular animal print trend.
