Designed with a neat fit across the shoulders and a relaxed, floaty shape through the body, Nepheline has a gentle A-line silhouette that drapes softly without feeling oversized. If you prefer a slimmer fit, the shaping is easy to customise - Lauren talks you through how to do this in the accompanying video. The blouse sits at hip height, making it perfect for wearing loose or tucked into high-waisted bottoms.
The sleeves bring extra charm to this pattern. While the sleeve cap fits neatly and comfortably, the rest of the sleeve is wonderfully roomy. Delicate gathers at the hem add softness, and you can choose to sew in two tucks for extra texture and a touch of sleeve drama.
Nepheline features a collarless neckline with two shape options - a gentle scoop or a slightly higher neckline - both finished with tidy bias binding. In her video, Lauren also explains how to adjust the neckline to your preferred height, an easy modification to make.
A standout element of this kit is the beautiful inset lace detail. This on-trend addition gives the blouse a romantic, handcrafted feel. Lauren demonstrates how to adjust your pattern and sew the lace neatly into place, making the technique accessible even if you're new to embellishments.

This kit is available in two colours: white and black.
The fabric we've selected is our medium weight Vintage Cotton which has a linen-like texture. It has a voluminous drape and really helps to hold the shape of the blouse, especially the pleats on the sleeves. It is 100% cotton, has a weight of 170 g/m² and is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
The lace included in each kit is in a colour to compliment the main fabric and has a dainty repeating design. The lace is 100% cotton

This pattern is available in two size ranges: sizes 1-9 (UK 6-22, B Cup) and sizes 5-14 (UK 14-32, D Cup). Bust 32-60”, waist 24-50” & hips 34-62”.

She shares her hints and tips on getting a really lovely finish on your garment including how to adjust the neckline, how to alter the hem width, how to sew the sleeve pleats, how to adapt the pattern to insert lace, how to sew the lace and much more!
This video has over 26 minutes of footage, sectioned out with time stamps/chapters for easy reference and navigation.

Vivian Shao Chen classes the Nepheline Blouse pattern as suitable for Advanced Beginners.
Techniques include sewing darts (for D cup only), button plackets, bias binding, and tucks. Adding the optional lace also requires making some pattern adjustments, which Lauren explains in her video.
To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.
