Using This Pattern in Your Next Project
Fabric
The Eddy is designed for woven fabrics. The easy silhouette makes it look great in a variety of fabrics. Fabrics that can take a press and hold a crease will be easier for this project.
Main Fabric: Any woven fabric with a bit of weight to it is great: Linen, suiting, twill, denim, canvas. It will make your blazer more challenging to sew if your fabric cannot take a press.
Lining Fabric: Typically you want to line your blazers with something that will easily slide on and off over other fabrics. Anything a little bit slippery would work. Rayon, silk, or a cotton with a tight weave.
Notions
- 90cm of fusible interfacing
- 1 x 3/4-1" button
- Optional: Interfacing tape for necklines. If your fabric is lightweight or wants to unravel/warp you may want to add extra reinforcement to the necklines with interfacing tape.
