Digital Products – Terms & Returns
This page explains our terms for digital products purchased from Guthrie & Ghani, including downloadable PDF sewing patterns, digital pattern files, sewing videos and other digital content.
Digital products
Digital products are supplied electronically and may include downloadable PDF files, digital sewing patterns, video tutorials, masterclasses and other digital content.
Digital products are supplied for your personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise stated. You must not copy, reproduce, share, resell, distribute or make available any digital product to another person.
Please check the product description before purchasing to make sure the digital product is suitable for your needs, including any information about file format, printing requirements, compatibility or access requirements.
Delivery of digital products
Digital products are normally made available to you electronically following payment.
For downloadable products, you will receive instructions or a link to access your files. For video products, you will receive instructions for accessing or streaming the content.
Please check your email inbox, including your junk or spam folder, if you do not immediately receive your download or access information.
If you have paid for a digital product but cannot access it, please contact us at info@guthrie-ghani.co.uk and we will help you resolve the issue.
Cancelling an order for a digital product
When you purchase a digital product from Guthrie & Ghani, the product may be made available to you immediately after checkout.
By completing your purchase and accessing, downloading or streaming the digital product, you acknowledge that the supply of the digital content has begun and that you may no longer have the statutory 14-day right to cancel your purchase.
Once you have accessed, downloaded or streamed the digital product, we are therefore unable to offer a refund simply because you have changed your mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the digital content is faulty, does not match its description, is not fit for purpose or is otherwise not of satisfactory quality.
Faulty or defective digital products
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you believe that a digital product is faulty or there is a problem with your download or access, please contact us at info@guthrie-ghani.co.uk as soon as possible.
For example, please get in touch if:
- a PDF file is missing pages or is corrupted;
- a digital pattern does not match the description provided;
- a download link does not work;
- you cannot access a video you have purchased;
- a video is not available or does not play as described; or
- there is another technical problem with the digital product itself.
Where a digital product is faulty, we will work with you to resolve the problem. Depending on the circumstances, this may include providing a replacement file, restoring access, providing a corrected version or, where appropriate, offering a refund in accordance with your statutory rights.
Please note that we cannot be responsible for problems caused solely by your device, internet connection, software or other equipment where the digital product itself is working as intended.
PDF sewing patterns
PDF sewing patterns are supplied as digital files for you to download and print yourself.
Before purchasing, please check the product description for information about the pattern, including the available sizes, file format and printing options.
We recommend downloading and saving your purchased pattern files somewhere secure so that you can access them when needed.
You may print a pattern for your own personal use. You must not share the digital file with other people or upload it to file-sharing websites, social media, websites or other platforms.
Digital sewing videos and masterclasses
Digital videos and masterclasses are provided for your personal use only.
You may watch the content as often as you like during the period for which access is provided, subject to any specific access terms stated on the product page.
You must not copy, download, record, reproduce, share, redistribute or commercially exploit the video content unless we have expressly given you permission to do so.
If you have purchased a digital product by mistake
Because digital products can be supplied immediately, we recommend checking your basket carefully before completing your purchase.
If you have accidentally purchased the wrong digital product and have not yet accessed, downloaded or streamed it, please contact us as soon as possible at info@guthrie-ghani.co.uk. We will consider your request and, where legally permitted, may be able to cancel the order and provide a refund.
If you have already accessed, downloaded or streamed the digital product after agreeing to immediate supply and acknowledging the loss of your cancellation right, we will not normally be able to offer a refund simply because you have purchased the wrong product or changed your mind.
Our legal obligations
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Digital content supplied by us must comply with the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
