The Lèana Blouse is an easy-wearing, relaxed style with thoughtful design details and plenty of scope for personalisation. On the front, you can choose between neat pintucks for a more delicate finish or gathers for a looser, more casual feel. At the back, an inverted pleat or gentle gathers add shape and movement without taking away from the overall softness of the silhouette.
The sleeves are equally versatile, with two length options and the choice of a simple elasticated cuff or subtle shirring that creates a frilled hem. With two hem lengths to choose from, Lèana is easy to incorporate into your wardrobe - whether you prefer it tucked into jeans, layered under jumpers, or worn loose for a relaxed, everyday outfit.
Lèana is perfectly suited to lightweight fabrics and was created with our exclusive Flùr fabric collection in mind! The three fabrics in this range are inspired by the soft beauty of Scottish wildflowers scattered across rolling landscapes. Sewn into your blouse, they bring an airy feel, as if the fabric itself has been gently lifted from a spring meadow.
With all the options included in the Lèana Blouse, there’s plenty of scope for expanding your sewing toolkit! Included in the kit, Lauren’s Top Tips video walks you through techniques such as sewing pintucks and using shirring elastic to create delicate sleeve details. This kit is available in all three designs from our exclusive Flùr collection: Flùr Meadow, Flùr Dreams and Flùr Posy.
This collection is inspired by the beautful wildflowers found growing across Scotland’s landscapes, from open meadows to coastal grasslands.
Flùr Meadow is the boldest design in the collection, with simplified floral shapes layered across the cream background to create movement and flow. Inspired by flowers such as harebell, ragged-robin and marsh marigold, the print captures the feeling of wild blooms scattered across a landscape, with a softer, more expressive take on these natural forms. It is 100% viscose with a weight of 120gsm.
Flùr Dreams is set against a soft blue background. The design takes on a slightly different feel, with a slightly larger scale and more spaced out layout, while still keeping that sense of breezy flower meadows. Like Flùr Meadow it is also 100% viscose and has the same weight.
Flùr Posy is the most subtle design in the collection, with smaller clusters of floral shapes with more of the cream base fabric visible throughout. Inspired by flowers such as heather, primrose and ragged-robin, arranged together into wildflower bouquets. It is 70% viscose and 30% linen, with a weight of 200gsm.

Not only will you have the full sized A0 print out, with all the variations and styles inside your kit box, you also have access to the PDF files for your future reference. This means you can remake Lèana in different fabrics and combinations long after your blouse is complete - yay!

Designed alongside the Guthrie & Ghani Flùr fabric collection, Lèana is made for lightweight fabrics. In viscose, it feels light and fluid; in viscose linen or a cotton lawn, it takes on a little more structure and texture, each fabric bringing out a slightly different feel in the finished blouse.
With all its details and options, it’s a blouse you’ll want to make again and again in lots of different fabrics!
This pattern is available in two size ranges: UK sizes 4-20 and 16-32
4-20: Bust 32 - 46" (82 - 117cm), waist 24 - 38" (61 - 97cm), hips 34 - 48" (87 - 122cm)
16-32: Bust 44 - 60" (112 - 152cm), waist 34 - 50" (87 - 127cm), hips 44 - 60" (112 - 152cm)
Sizes 4-20 are drafted for a B cup and sizes 16-32 are drafted for a D cup. If you are unsure about what dressmakers cup size you are, please check out this article and note that it is different to what bra size you might wear.

The skill level of the Lèana Blouse depends on the variation chosen. The blouse with gathers and elasticated sleeves could be suitable for an advanced beginner, whilst the version with pintucks and shirring might be more suited to an intermediate dressmaker.
To complete this project successfully you'll need a regular sewing machine along with Lauren's essential recommended sewing tools.
