This classic duffle bag has a large zipped opening to allow easy access to your things. On the outside there's two handy slip pockets that wrap around the bag whilst inside there's a roomy zip pocket to keep all your valuables nice and safe.
Carry the bag with either the shoulder straps or the adjustable cross-body strap, which can be clipped on and off the bag. The shoulder straps are stitched directly onto the outer fabric for strength and in her accompanying video Lauren demonstrates how to adjust their length to your personal preference.
Lauren also shows you how to create and sew piping into the ends of the bag, which is a guthrie & ghani addition to the pattern. This is a lovely extra feature not only adds a professional finish and more definition to the bag, it will also help to expand your sewing skill set for future projects!
As well as the duffle bag, the kit includes enough fabric to make the card wallet which is included in the City Bag Set pattern. This cute wallet is the perfect size for carrying your most-used cards along with a few notes. Lauren's tips video includes instructions on how to use the mini d-ring and swivel hook included in the kit to securely attach the wallet inside your bag - another g&g touch to this super useful kit!

This kit is available in four colours: navy, cobalt, ochre and green.
For the outer fabric we've chosen these lovely canvas fabrics from Sevenberry. These heavier weight fabrics are ideal for bag making as they're light enough to sew with yet durable enough to handle a lot of wear and tear. They are 100% cotton and weigh 325 gsm.
For the lining we've sourced cotton poplin with a cute micro dot design. The navy and cobalt kits contain navy lining fabric and the ochre and green kits contain fawn lining. The poplins are 100% cotton.
