Our new blog series

If you fancy having a collection of lovely handmade clothes, in an on trend colour palette that tones together beautifully, and that you can easily mix and match for stylish day to day wear, then our summer capsule mini wardrobe is for you!

Starting from the 28th June I’ll be featuring a different type of garment each week on the blog based on one of the lovely indie patterns that we stock.

I’ll be showing you just how versatile each pattern is with different versions and options for styling it.

Each blog post will also include all my tops tips for making the garment along with a YouTube video so you can see what it looks like in real life.

Making sure you have everything you need for a project before you start can be tricky, especially when shopping online.
So we’ve put together a complete fabric, notions and pattern pack of each featured project with fabric colour options too – get it all together and you save over 15%! Yay!

We’ve got limited stock of each and they will be available each week online to correspond with the garment featured on the blog.

Plan your perfect summer project

We’ll take your measurements and help you work out your body shape, then advise you on what pattern we think would compliment your individual figure in the best way. Get inspiration from our range of sewn up sample garments and different colour palette boards based on our fabric ranges and leave with a little booklet to help you plan your future dressmaking projects.

It’s FREE to come along, and there is no need to book – just drop by anytime – and we’ll have tea and cake too!

Can’t make it to the event? Then we’d love to see your summer makes online! Share your summer make that uses either fabric or a pattern you’ve got from our shop and label it with the #gandgsummermake to be in with the chance of winning a £30 voucher to spend on fabric in our shop!**

**Pictures must be posted on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook between 28^th June 2017 and 19^th July 2017 and labelled with the hashtag #gandgsummermake so that we can your entry. Only public accounts can take part, otherwise we won’t be able to see the photo. Tag us @guthrieghani on instagram or twitter or post directly onto our Facebook page. Your make must use either fabric or a pattern you have bought from our shop. A winner will be chosen by the g&g team and announced on Sunday 23^rd July on the blog along with a round up of some other entries that we loved.

The £30 voucher can be redeemed against full priced fabric from our shop. You will be able to look online at what you like and then order it over the phone.
