November can be a busy time of year as we ramp up to a festive season that might feel a bit more 'normal' than it has done for the past few years. Perhaps you've got more plans, events or meet-ups to go to, but if you fancy escaping for a bit of 'me-time' sewing then I've got lots of lovely new fabric delights in this months new fabrics round up post!
With some fabrics selling out fast, the best place to see the new fabrics as they arrive is by watching my weekly Instagram live questions & answer sessions or watching the play back on Youtube.
If anything you like is showing as sold out, do make use of our stock notification service on the website. It's a great way to keep track of all the things you have your eye on in the account area when you are logged in and it also helps us know what the demand is for different fabrics so we can make sure we re-stock with the right amount of fabric.
Check out all the fabrics up close in my latest youtube video and find all the ones I mentioned linked below!
Atelier Brunette have done it again with a stunning new collection of fabrics. We have selected our favourite prints on plain weave and viscose twill base cloths that are perfect for lovely tops, blouses and dresses.
We have added to our range of gorgeous prints from the Fabric Godmother range. A mix of viscose lawns, viscose crepes and viscose twills, these fabrics are also ideal for tops, blouses and dresses.
Keeping things colourful, we have more viscose prints that aren't associated with a specific designer but are equally as gorgeous!
If you are looking for something more plain and classic these crinkle viscose fabrics are perfect. They have a gorgeous texture making them a more special of different option for a plain fabric.
This new range of Tencel Denims are so soft and sumptuous. They are lighter weight, with the 4.3oz being the lightest and perfect for tops, blouses and shirts. We used a very similar fabric in the Hey June Handmade Amherst Shirt Sewing Society kit a few years ago.
The heavier weight one, at 10.4oz still isn't quite heavy enough for making tight fitting or skinny jeans but it would make a gorgeous jumpsuit or looser fitting trousers and aren't fitted around the hips and thighs.
This range of plain brushed cotton flannels are super soft and a little bit fluffy with their cosy brushed surface. Perfect for a cosy shirt or Pj's - they would be idea to pair with our range of Robert Kaufman checked cotton flannels!
This fabric has been super popular since the launch of our sell out Zoey Top Sewing Society Kit last month. We have restocked in lots of amazing colours so now you can make the best range of comfortable layering tops from vests to long sleeved t-shirts to keep you cosy!
These medium weight variated rib knitted fabrics are ideal for cardigans or fitted t-shirt and dresses as they have lots of stretch and good recovery. The Soft Ponte Fabrics have an almost spongey and bouncy texture and are perfect for a sporty hoodie or jogging bottoms.
We now have the Teddy Shearling in stock, featured in the Grainline Thayer Kit last year where it was used as a cosy collar. The gorgeous, soft terazzo viscose featured in the Ellsworth kit is also available in all colours as well as the Philippa pants non-stretch sanded twill cotton fabric.
These woollen fabrics all have a really high wool fibre content making them nice and cosy and perfect for jacket and a few for coats.
