A Celebration of Sewing, Community and Creativity in Moseley Village 💛
What a day! SewBrum 2025 brought sewists, dressmakers, and crafty folk together across Moseley Village for a fun-filled day of donations, swapping, and connecting.
A Heartfelt Thank You 💛
To everyone who took part, volunteered, donated or simply stopped by — thank you for making SewBrum 2025 such a truly special day. It was a celebration of sewing, creativity and community that reminded us just how inspiring it is when people come together to make, share and support one another.
We raised £4,139!
Your amazing energy, generosity and enthusiasm helped us raise an incredible £4,139 for Anawim's Birmingham centre for women. This donation will go directly towards Anawim’s vital work in Birmingham, providing trauma-informed support, counselling, education and a safe community for women facing challenging circumstances.
We’re already dreaming up ideas for another charity event next year, but for now, we’re filled with gratitude for everyone who made this year such a success.
Join me to recap the day!
The day kicked off at Moseley Hive with welcome drinks and friendly chat before visitors followed the SewBrum trail through the Moseley Village.
At Guthrie & Ghani, the shop and studio buzzed with activity, from the Fabric, Pattern and Garment Swaps, badge making to the Haberdashery Tombola and the much-loved Charity Raffle.
One of the most exciting parts of SewBrum 2025 was our Charity Raffle, a wonderful way to bring in those donations with support from the whole community.
This year’s raffle featured an incredible line-up of prizes, all generously donated by some of our favourite sewing brands, designers and creative businesses. From a Janome uk sewing machine and pattern bundles to fabric vouchers, notions and sewing accessories, there was something for everyone to get excited about.
Every ticket purchased made a difference, helping Anawim continue its vital work empowering women to build confidence, stability and independence. 💛

The Makers Market
The SewBrum Makers Market at Moseley Exchange was buzzing with creative energy. A brilliant mix of independent makers, local designers and small businesses set up shop, sharing everything from handmade gifts and textiles to fabrics and sewing goodies.
It was great to see so many people chatting, browsing and supporting local talent right here in Birmingham.
A big thank you to all the makers who joined us and helped make the market such a special part of the day. All of who made generous contributions to our fundraiser too, showing the real community spirit that SewBrum is all about. 💛
Until Next Time...
SewBrum 2025 was a fantastic day of sewing, swapping and community in Moseley Village. From the raffle and makers market to friendly chats over coffee, it truly showcased the creativity and kindness in our sewing community.
We’re so grateful to everyone who joined in, helped raise £4,139 for Anawim, and to the local indie businesses who even offered discounts so attendees could enjoy a cuppa or lunch nearby.
