A Look Back at Our G&G Summer Party 2026


What a wonderful day!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our G&G Summer Party. It was such a joy to spend the day surrounded by so many familiar faces, meet lots of new members of our sewing community and celebrate everything we love about dressmaking together.

From the moment the doors opened, the shop was buzzing. There were fabrics being admired, patterns being discussed, projects being planned and so many lovely conversations happening throughout the day. Seeing everyone chatting, sharing ideas and inspiring one another is exactly what makes these events so special.

Sewing Together

One of my favourite parts of the day was hosting our free sewing demonstrations with Becca in the studio.

Throughout the day we shared some of our favourite techniques, answered lots of sewing questions and chatted through everyone's current projects. It was so lovely hearing what you've all been making and seeing how generous everyone is with sharing their own tips and experiences.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in the studio. Your enthusiasm and questions made every session such a pleasure to teach.

A Shop Full of Inspiration

It was wonderful seeing so many of you browsing the latest fabrics, discovering new patterns and planning future projects.

The Community Catwalk

Without a doubt, one of the biggest highlights was our G&G Community Catwalk.

Thank you to every single person who took part. Seeing everyone proudly wearing their handmade garments was such a lovely reminder of just how creative our sewing community is. Every outfit reflected its maker's individual style, from beautifully fitted dresses and relaxed everyday separates to bold prints and timeless wardrobe staples.

It takes confidence to step onto a catwalk, and you all absolutely smashed it. It was a real celebration of handmade wardrobes and the joy that comes from sewing your own clothes.

Finally, thank you once again to everyone who came along, took part, supported the event and helped make it such a memorable day.

Days like these remind me just how lucky I am to be part of such a kind, creative and inspiring sewing community. I already can't wait until we do it all again.
