I'm delighted to be able to share with you this years stunning festive window display we have here in the g&g shop. Jo's designs always bring such joy all year round but especially over the festive season with the days being so short!
This years theme is twinkly and natural and you can see a virtual tour of the window in my latest Youtube video linked below. If you fancy recreating any of the garments I've linked the patterns and fabric below to so read on for all the details!
Sophisticated loungwear or fancy PJs is what we are loving and our mannequin girls are dressed up in the Atelier Brunette Le Pyjama and the Closet Core Fran set.
Le Pyjama has a notched collar, grown on sleeves and a double elasticated wasitband with a straight and wide cut for extra comfort.
Fran features tailored details with a slouchy fit, they look just as good in bed as they do glammed up and on the town. The Fran top has a shirt collar, cuffed sleeve, back yoke, inverted back pleat, and button loop at the neck. The Fran pants have a straight leg with a slightly paperbagged elastic waist, optional drawstring, inseam pockets, and back pocket.
The fabrics we have chosen for each set could be interchanged as well. Le Pyjama is sewn up in these light weight and oh so crisp pima cotton lawn. This is a nice easy fabric to work with and really comfortable to sleep in!
The Fran set is sewn up using the Olive colourway of our pinstripe viscose linen. We also have 4 other lovely colours too. This fabric has a beautiful drape and feels very luxurious to wear! You could for sure get some cross over between lounging in the house and nipping out for emergency festive snacks without a bat of an eye from anyone!
As always Jo has thought of all the special touches needed to really bring this big bay window to life. From wooden bobbins, mini yarn balls and knitting needles and a tape measure garland on the tree to mini pom pom snowball garlands, well stacked presents and the icing on the cake - 12 wonderful wreaths all made by the g&g team! Wrapped with fairy lights and eucalyptus and finished off with a few pine cones, hessian bow and wooden button, they really bring the twinkly and natural theme to life!
