It's my final monthly fabric round up of the year and I've got some lovely fabrics to share with you to keep you inspired into the festive season.
From fancy party wear options to smart wools and cosy brushed cotton flannels there is plenty of colour and texture to feast the eyes!
The lovely fabrics we featured in this months kits are now available by the meter to pair with your own pattern choice. The striking zigzag knitted fabric is super duper warm and great for cardigan and jumper patterns (like the Sew House Seven Version 2). Our stretchy cotton velvet looks great as a trouser but would also work well for a more fitted pencil style skirt or fitted dress.
These jewel toned, vibrant stretch velour fabrics have been a huge hit this month! From tops to dresses and jumpsuits, this comfy and stretchy fabric is great for a wide variety of garments and with its light catching velvety finish it's an easy way to get a party ready style!
We have been keeping our range of Liberty Tana Lawns fresh with some detailed new prints featuring gorgeous vibrant colours.
If you are planning some more formal wear, this selection of new fabrics is ideal! The wool suitings would suit a smart pair of trousers perfectly - we love the Closet Core Mitchell for this type of fabric. The black multi fleck stripe fabric has a nice about of body and structure so would be great for a blazer of chore style jacket as well as a simple a-line skirt.
If you are going to wear cotton in the winter, making sure its a brushed flannel like these ones will keep you feeling warm. All of these lovely fabrics are brushed on both sides, so have a slightly fluffy finish to them that feels lovely next to the skin.
This selection of cotton and cotton/linen mixes are nice and stable, so really easy to work with. Great if you are still in the beginning stages of your dressmaking journey or looking for more of a crafty project to work on.
This selection of new fabrics all offer something a bit different. The Aztec jacquard weave is a reversible fabric with a nice amount of structure - great for a simple statement jacket, skirt or even for a bag!
Add a bit of sparkle with the silver lurex textured fabric. It's monochrome colour combination makes it easy to pair with lots of other garments.
The final 3 viscose and viscose/cupro fabrics are lovely and light weight with beautiful drape and flow to them. Ideal for tops, blouses and dresses, especially ones that have details like gathers or fullness as they fabric will swoosh around really nicely.
