This Liberty Ikat Tulip A Tana Lawn Cotton Fabric was inspired by the natural ikat-style patterns and markings found in variegated tulips. Geometric shapes were painted with large brushstrokes on a textured paper, in order to create the appearance of an ikat weave. These painterly motifs of teals, purples, soft pink and greens were then overlaid to add further texture and depth, camouflaging the simple tulip repeat.
The design is printed onto Tana Lawn™ cotton, a fabric with unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy.
